Fed Issues Reg. E Overdraft Final Rule

The Federal Reserve Board issued final rules under Regulation E that prohibit financial institutions from charging consumers fees for paying overdrafts on one-time debit card transactions, unless a consumer consents, or opts in, to the overdraft service for those types of transactions.

What this means to you:  Without Overdraft Protection, your ATM and everyday debit card transactions may be declined if you attempt to make a transaction without the sufficient funds.  If you want to continue using this service without disruptions, you need to opt-in to our Overdraft / Courtesy Pay Program. For your convenience, click here and complete the Opt-Out/In form.  You can also mail or fax a copy of the form to:

Fax: (859) 252-3975
*This rule only affects member’s with checking accounts.  **No action is required if you only have a savings account.
